Hi Judy,
An attractive seafront photo with a lovely atmosphere. The short focal length works very well here. Excellent depth and sharpness. I like the waves on the foreground, the gorgeous sky and the impression which the silhouetted foreground gives. Thanks for sharing!
Kind regards - have a nice weekend!

Another masterful composition, in my view, which conveys a fine evening atmosphere and the sense of mistery that is always present in vast open spaces. The clouds converge to the small islet creating an interesting graphic effect. Furthermore I like the contrast between the dark beach in the foreground and the luminous background. The ripples on the sea are so nice! Well done,
Donato

Hello Judy,
This is a remarkable image that really stirs the emotions -- both calming and challenging. I love the way the forms of the clouds, the ripples and the faint touch of pink all seem to work together to invite dreams. Excellent work.

Mary

Allô Judy!
Les derniers rayons du jour donnent souvent de belles photos comme celle-ci que tu as su bien capter. Les tons presque N/B sont intéressant et les silhouettes superbes, j'aime bien.
Bravo!... et bonne fin de semaine,
Emilius

Hi, Judy -
A lovely, almost monochromatic scene where the sweep of the curving shoreline is mirrored by the fan shape of the clouds. Nice catch!
Regards,
Dan
PS: As it happens, we're going to be in SE Alaska in August, sailing from Sitka to Wrangell, so I'm going to be paying a lot of attention to your photos to get an idea what we'll be seeing there!

Hello Judy,
What a compelling shot, a surreal image of tranquility! I like the composition, the setting sun and subdued colors. I remember Ketchikan from my one cruise up the Inside Passage.
Warm regards,
Bulent

Hello Judy
This is a captivating image. Beautiful is the curve of the shoreline and the concentric ripples, culminating onto the small island (I hope it is) with 5 trees on it. I like the fact that this picture is largely monochrome, except a small part of the horizon which enhances the dramatic aspect. The effect of the wide angle is well evidenced in the clouds. Fine shot!
With Regards
Angshu

Judy,
Seeing that you like what I'm doing - it's part of my job - I'm a motoring journalist and photographer - I just had to see your album. There was this picture above which I liked, even the message is a bit of sadness, but the cloud formation and the rays of the sunset - I guess it was sunset - give the pictures that extra touch, hope of better days to come. Very good componsition and execution, a picture that speaks for itself

Hi Judy,
Appealing because it captures the eye without using bright saturated colors. The monochrome approach brings out the details in nature.
Good job,
Ray

Hi Judy
I haven't had a chance to try many scenic shots yet but I see your gallery is full of them. Great work!
This one of yours stood out to me. The shoreline is detailed and draws the eye into the overall scene. The light is subtle and the colours are now muted giving it a tranquill feeling. I love the slight ripple in the water, so soft and then the clouds hanging over omniously. Finally the last punch of light drawing the eye to the back of your photo. Great POV.
TFS,
Tosca
