Photographer’s Note

This is the Mendenhall Glacier as seen from Mt. McGinnis. Branching off from the Juneau Icefield it is one of many glaciers filling the valleys along the coast of Southeast Alaska. Only about 20 minutes from downtown Juneau, it is easily visited - though not many people make the hike to see it from this perspective.
