Photographer’s Note
This was shot with a telephoto lens from the tip of the spit in Homer, Alaska. It is a glacier on the Aleutin Penninsula just a bit behind the Augustine Volcano, the one with the most recent eruptions.
There ia a map of the area, here.
PP: Crop, sharpen and noise reduction.

Good morning Patricia (hmm, there is middle of the night at you;)).
Beautiful mountains. I like also the delicate striped snow there. Great image. I can`t say bad word, unless about the weather ;).

I like it, Patricia, it looks so huge!! Your pic looks a little misty, and I think that it depended by the weather. Anyway, I like such a great landscape!!

Hello Patricia!
Well mastered and difficult shot. The haze is a horror but you have succeeded in making a very artistic and beautiful photo. The bands of light are brilliant in this stunning panorama. Well done, I like it a lot!
Best wishes,

Very artistic shot!!
Gosto da espontaneidade de suas fotos Patricia, explorando angulos sempre muito interessantes que informam os aspectos relevantes dos lugares fotografados.

That hue Patricia...that hue ? It's something mystical about it (not to say romantic).
Something's telling me Patricia... That you're trying to correct thy almighty creation. It horrifies me!
What horrifies me even more deeply - is the fact that
You actually succeeded !
Stop right there or I'll move to Alaska.
Scared to death

Hey, a lovely picture over the mountains. It seems to have been a difficult place to reach to take the shot.

Hi Patricia!
Nice landscape composition.Dark and light places works good.It Is a little noise on photo, but that is normal becaouse of long distance and density of air.

Bonsoir Patricia
Quelle superbe composition. C'est un paysage lunaire et tout à fait étrange que tu nous proposes.
Belle réussite- merci pour le partage et bonne soirée.

Hi Pat,
My 9-year-old son saw this picture and asked me Is that real or computer-generated picture?
I guess he got my idea, that I didn't tell him previously: the photo it seems too nice to be true. Maybe you applied too much noise reduction.
Anyway, Nature gives us amazing images too.

The noise reduction seems to have smoothened the details a little to much, but otherwise a beautifull point of view with these impressives mountains surrounding the glacier. The yellow dominent is a bit surprising but probably linked to the light.
All the best,
Emmanuel

Hi, Pat,
The dramatic lighting and ethereal colors in this photo caught my attention. The scene is stunningly beautiful in a stark way. I especially like the play of light and shadow in the center of the frame.
The photo has an overall visual "thickness" that might be seen as undesirable. I produced a BW version that seeks to stress the contrasts. I hope you don't mind. See workshop.
Regards,
- William
