Photographer’s Note

The marshy mud flats between the town of Homer, Alaska and the Homer Spit (a 5-kilometer-long sand bar) support plentiful bird life. Combined with the spectacular mountains across the bay, it makes for an enchanting scene, which I hope I have captured some of, here!

Wonderful landscape Ken! The first thing that attracts me to this is the great light, which gives the whole scene a warm glow. The positioning of the pond is great, and of course the birds and the lighthouse give a lot of interest. Excellent!

Lovely shot. the composition is great and the exposure spot on. the colours in th background really add to the photo. well caught.
