Photographer’s Note
This picture was taken in April at Creamer's Field Waterfowl Refuge, Fairbanks, Alaska. Creamer's Field is an important area for migrating birds; the fields are cleared of the last of the snow in April to prepare a place for migrating birds to stop on their journey northwards. These Canada geese were just a few of many that rested at Creamer's Field. The refuge was also visited by swans, pintails, sandhill cranes, mallards and other wildfowl. The wildfowl are a great tourist attraction for the residents of Fairbanks who do not see many other birds apart from ravens during the long winter.

the one on the left looks pretty angry, but picking a fight with three others seems a bit over the top ;o) I like the compo and the blue of the water makes a perfect background.

A very good action photograph, and well-framed. What camera was this picture taken on; digital or film?
