Photographer’s Note
This shot was taken just as I arrived at Wonder Lake campground. I had just enough time to set up the camera at our campsite before the sun went down. The mountain came out of the clouds twice during our stay, which is quite rare in the summertime. I will post more as I process them.
I had quite a bit of trouble getting this image sharp when I reduced it in size for the Web. The original is good and sharp at full size.
I processed the RAW file twice with different exposure settings, and merged the two together to get the foreground out of the shadow, as I did not have enough time to use my ND Grad filter. If only we had shown up earlier, I could have been more prepared!
Cheers,

Hi Norm,
Well, it looks pretty good to me! No problem with sharpness and the exposure is fine, giving good detail to the foreground, the mountain and the sky/clouds. In fact, on first glance, it's difficult to decide what is mountain and what is cloud, which makes you look closer and adds to it's charm.
Colours are good and your manipulation in RAW has worked extremely well.
Excellent shot.
Best wishes, Vicky

The processing tricks worked quite well; this is an excellent image. The mountain looks like it's floating. I don't see any issues with the sharpness.
Great catch!
