Photographer’s Note
While camped at Wonder lake, at the base of Mt. Mckinley I had hoped for some prime shots of the mountain. On this trip there was little to be seen of the mountain, with only a few brief minutes of clearing. It was interesting to watch my fellow campers as they watched the mountain. It was a bit like watching a stiptease artist when the clouds obscuring the mountain would begin to part, only to return and hide the peak from view.

Great alpine shot! The sense of size is just incredible in this, with the rocks and ice clearly visible. The clouds hanging off the top of the mountain give this a great feeling of altitude too, like it is in the clouds. Well done!
