Photographer’s Note
The mountains here are part of the Alaska Range in the interior of Alaska, about 200 miles north of Anchorage, not far from Denali National Park. It's a truly beautiful area, with a mix of mountains, marshes, forests and meadows. I chose this spot because all of those appear! And I didn't even have to work hard, I just pulled of the highway onto the shoulder.

Note added later: It looks as though I need to make some adjustments in Photoshop or to my monitor; this image looks far less saturated on TE than it does when viewed in Photoshop on my computer. See the workshop by John (jwmunro) for what I intended the image to look like!

Good shot Ken! The unusual pink/violet colour of the mountains at sunset is what really grabs my attention. The reflection off the lake is good too, and I like the gentle sweep of the trees rising to the right. Good job!

Hi Ken. Usually, I love saturated colors, but the muted tones in the foreground here work so well with the more colorful, sunset-lit mountains behind. Nice work!

Nice shot Ken;
I like the reflections of the trees in the water, the inclusion of the lake/ pond in the frame is what makes this composition quite appealing. I have posted a workshop with a couple suggestions, which I hope you may find of use.
Warmest Regards,

Ken -
Excellent image and beautiful light. IMO, I think the image is a little flat and needs some punch. I am posting a workshop - hope you like the minor changes.
Thanks for sharing

Very beautiful spot in North America! I have been to Alaska but not the interior. This a beautiful photograph
How are the roads from Vancouver to Denali? Can you drive now from that part of canada to Denali?

Hey Ken
Good photo, but I must say that I like the workshops better than the original
1. My taste would say that there is too much of foreground
2. I don't think I have seen this colour of green and purplish mountain together before ... great job in capturing this rare scene I would say
tfs .. cheers

Looks like you have just had a holiday in Alaska, Ken, and have brought back some beautiful shots. Nice soft colours and good composition make this one very appealing. (The workshop is good, but I actually couldn't see the difference between the two versions until I compared them side by side). Cheers . . . David
