Photographer’s Note
I am back from a visit home and it was heavenly. We had the most wonderful temperatures for that time of year you could ever imagine. Sunny, highs in the 70's, low humidity. Went to our annual family reunion, saw all kinds of relatives I hadn't seen in ages, old friends.... I needed that. :)) This shot is from along the street my mom lives on. Home. And I still miss it. Shot at 800 ISO for some reason. No clue. I have all my family photos to process and get emailed back, so I'll be back as soon as I get that finished. This year I PROMISED.. LOL

Bonjour Shelly,
un ciel qui a du dramatique et bien mis en valeur par un cadrage qui lui donne une grande importance. Les contrastes bien gérés aident bien à cette atmosphère de ciel chargé.
Des couleurs aussi bien rendues.
Bien amicalement.
Daniel.

Hello Shelly,
What luck to be online when your beautiful shot of West Virginia, with a most spectacular cloud formation. The remarkably crisp atmosphere, a function of that low humidity has allowed this high resolution image, even at ISO 800. With this much light, you could easily have shot at f/22, ISO 100 with a shutter speed 1/16 of that 1/1000 of a second, or around 1/60 sec. The image is already so sharp, nothing needs to be done to improve it — this shot of "Main Street, USA."
Warm regards,
Bulent

Hi Shelly,
Glad to have you back!
This street looks much like the one I grew up on in Schenectady, NY. You captured these lovely brick homes in warm light and a beautiful blue sky and summer clouds to really makes them stand out.

Hi Shelly,
Welcome back, hope you had a great time.
These Dutch clouds on top of your image is making the secenery. Those houses look very lovely, but those clouds are really giving a great boost to the photo, i like that a lot.
Have a great weekend, Henk

Welcome back Shelly. Glad you had a good time. The clouds are spectacular although for you it is the street I'm sure. This is a well composed shot that shows the street at its best.

Hello Shelly,
A photo full of wind and cotton-like clouds. This gorgious sky make everything shine and there is an explosion of light. At least that'm my impression. Of course the row of houses is lovely and the whole composition is a well achieved one.

Hi Shelly,
Good to see you back here. This is a nice image though the clouds look a bit funky. Overall the houses balance the image well and give this image a pleasant composition. Did you have your camera in auto mode? I think there is some grain which was more likely produced by the high iso. Nice work Shelly :-)

Hi Shelly.
That massive cloud formation jumped out from the gallery of thumbnails, and doesn't disappoint! I think your square proportions work well and do justice to the enormous sky. I like the light and colour of the houses in this sunny street scene, and like the way you have shown just enough of it at the bottom of the picture. I think the sharpening might be a little overdone, but it by no means spoils this photo. It's a great shot of 'heavenly' home.

Andrew

Hi, Shelly -
Classic American suburbia, complete with flag! Good choice to make the sky the dominant feature. I think you should included the full car in the lower right, though (just a minor nit to pick).
Best,
Dan
