When I was home visiting, there was very little in bloom yet. Except this wonderful tulip tree at a house on the street where my mother lives. So I was outside taking pictures and a guy comes out and says, "May I help you?" (kind of snotty like). So I immediately get an attitude. "OH. You want to help me take pictures of FLOWERS???" He says, "Well, when I see someone outside my house with a camera..." "Don't worry, pal. I'm just taking pictures of your pretty flowers" (rolling my eyes.) Jerk. He was probably scamming disability or Social Security or a drug dealer. I should have told him I was with Homeland Security. :))
Those tulip trees sure are pretty though, and they smell wonderful.

Dorota

Hi Shelly
We had one of those guys on our photo workshop in the Palouse last year. Some people just have to be jerks. Anyway it's nice to see signs of spring. The exposure was well handled as we can see lots of detail in the flowers against the blue sky. We have had a cold wet spring so far and the tulip trees are just starting to show.
Cheers
Phil

Bonjour Shelly,
Bonjour aussi au printemps qui s'annonce avec ces belles fleurs roses et leurs bourgeons!
Une belle composition de la nature qui s'éveille sous ce beau ciel bleu!
Amicalement
Jean-Luc

Hi Shelly,
Huntington looks like it has about a 2 week head start on Schenectady. These lovely magnolias look particuarly impressive aginst the vibrant blue sky. Excellent use of light brings out fine details here.

Hi Shelly,

Wonderful spring photo. But I think it is not tulip tree. Tulip tree has different flowers. in my opinion, it is Magnolia soulangiana. My tree will look like that in some days!

All the best

Hello Shelly
Nice capture. Those flowers have ar charming colour and it fits well with the blue sky in the background. Great details and contrasts.
Well done!
Best regards
Denis!

Hello Shelly. Very interesting note and this flower is just gorgeous. You have captured the detail of the fragile petals which is difficult against the clear sky brilliantly. Stunning effect in a rather graphical presentation. Regards. Jusni

HI Shelly!
That`s exactly what I`m waiting for:SPRING
The trees here are blooming as well but we have no blue sky since weeks.
Great POV and a nice view at these blossoms.Good sharpness and I like the contrast between blue and pink.

Hello Shelly
Spring has sprung so beautifully on your mother's street!!
I like the mostly-diagonal line of the main branch offering such sweet flowers to a superb sky.
High side light enhances textures of tulips. Too bad the perfume is missing!
Such a romantic view!
Cheers.
Robert
