[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The weekend before Christmas we were out shopping and I (of course) was carrying my camera. These two little boys were shopping with their mother and they were SOO cute. The older one seemed a bit braver than the younger. He at least didn't hide when I pointed my camera at them. Their mom asked if I was a photographer and I laughed and told her I was trying to be. You can just barely see the top of the little one's head hiding behind his brother. I liked the kind of suspicious look I got from the older one, too.

Hello Shelly,
Nice candid shot of this boy and his shy little brother. You are very good at fill-flash. No OE highlights. The mother would probably like a print also. Nice natural expression and I like the softly rendered background. Good job!
Stan

Hi Shelly,

Haha, he does look a bit suspicious, doesn't he :-)

Hi Shelly.
I'm back. Hopefully not only occasional :-)
What a great portrait of this/these kid/s. Great title as usual. The sharpness and composition is, as always, on top.
Have a great weekend.
Best regards
Per

May I say I feel it a bit underexposed? If he were blond, ok, but with dark hair, maybe you could dare half a stop more :-)

Actually, I have to learn your courage of pointing the camera on strangers. I always feel so... don't know, like I am stealing something. Not to mention the risk, when taking pictures of kids, to be considered, you know... a bad person. And that's what I most like of your portraits on the fly: they really have such an innocence! I think it is mainly due to the instantaneous speed you grab the camera, frame and shoot, but not only. It's your way of seeing things, as a grandmother (well, actually, MY grandmother would never write something like "this guy was HOT" :-) and a child at the same time.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU AND ALL YOUR FAMILY!

This is really cute, and very typical. I like the expression. Very well done!!( I got the lousy flu.....blah...) TFS

Hi Shelley. Nice and cute portrait shot. I am bit shy in training my cam to the faces -- though there are plenty of subjects all around. Lucky you. The almost invisible brother behind is well narrated in the note. Regards & Very Happpy New Year to all in the family.

Hello Shelly -

Very cute in deed. The little brother hiding makes the image and the catch light just tops off the image. Well done!

Thank you for sharing.

Nice catchlight in his eyes. Well done for catching him. Too bad the shy one wasn't up for his picture being taken.
