Photographer’s Note

A few apples. Probably long since made into a pie or cobbler.. but they are one of the best things about summer. Mom and apple pie. I spent a few weeks with my mom this summer and it was one of the nicest ever. I guess with fall so near, I am getting nostalgic.

What is then the raw quince doing next to them? :)))

Besides humor your words "mom and apple pie" draws me to the depths of sweet nosthalgy. It is the "feelings" that you present which makes this fresh photo a poetic one.

"mom and apple pie" would be a very nice title as well.

hello Shelly,
this is a nice, rich picture. lovely colour. form and textures. Autumn is here and it heralds the end of summer and so this is like the last of the summer wine..apple cider in ths case.

Simple but effective shot of the fruit that got Eve in Dutch (I've hear she was framed). My dear departed Aunt Deula make an apple pie that could conquor the world. Very clear colors and excellent sharpness to this tasty image.

A very beautiful still life — the colors and resolution are nothing short of spectacular. And with the dark background, the fruite stands out so well, and yet there is nothing artificial looking. I love this picture, and I'm tempted to take a bite! Alas it's a picture. But what is a quince, that my compatriot points out?
