Photographer’s Note
On our way home from South Carolina we took a highway that lead us through the beautiful mountains of West Virginia. Our path led us here. Now going over the bridge was amazing but once we stopped and took a 200' walk to mid way down and saw the view..oh my ..it was amazing! This is what they write about the bridge.
Arching gracefully across the New River, the bridge has the world's 2nd longest single arch steel span. At 876 feet above the New River, it is the second highest bridge in this country. Only the Royal Gorge Bridge over the Arkansas River in Colorado is higher.

Good morning Donna -
This bridge is a tough subject to capture. I think you have made a very good attempt. IMO, the framing leaves are a bit much and too up front especially on the left. You have minimized the sky which is good but it is still too bright. I was here several years ago for Bridge Day and did not get a decent image so I know how difficult it can be so this is a very good attempt.
Thanks for sharing

Donna, j'aime le contraste entre le premier plan sombre et ce pont qui semble irréel dans la brume. Dommage que le ciel soit blanc mais on n'y peut rien.

Hi Donna,
Very striking view, wow ! Good idea to put the trees in the front view... the foggy air gives it even a mysterious touch.
Well done, Donna !

Hi Donna,
WOW! What a beautiful view of the bridge. And that fog gives a mystic atmosphere. I thought this must be somewhere in South East Asia where arch bridges like these are common.

The bridge which disappears is a very good idea. A little less fog would have been welcome but one always does not choose.

Bonjour Donna
It's a coincidence you mentioned Royal Gorge Bridge; we had a walk on it 3 weeks ago!!
I see here an elegant and bold structure so delicately presented through fog; almost a paradox!
I would have prefer to see more fog on left side.
Take care.
