Photographer’s Note
Last night at GMU I decided to try something new. This is a photo merge of two bracketed-shot HDR images. This is a shot of the Patriot Center at my alma mater.
The Patriot Center is a 10,000 seat arena in Fairfax, Virginia. It is located on the campus of George Mason University (which has 30,000+ students), and has attracted 7.7 million people to over 2400 events. Pollstar has ranked The Patriot Center as number 51 in ticket sales (2005). The Patriot Center opened on October 4, 1985. [wikipedia]

Sadly, I cannot post any more panoramic images to trekearth because they have set a 10 MB limit on each account, and I must have reached that limit since 2004.

Amazing work, your merging worked beautifully. It's so lovely with the balance of shadow and light, the reflection; and trees showing their Fall colors. You have done well by your Alma Mater.

Hello Michael
Wonderful ability to capture so much light, in a very dark scene.
I paticularily like the bright grass in the foreground.
The building is very crisp and clear.
well executed photo Michael
have a great day
