Photographer’s Note

This picnic area in the Stribling Orchard was empty when I went last month to pick peaches. But this month when we go to pick apples it will be filled with activity. It's a beautiful area nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. We have a family tradition with our children and grandchildren every year to go and pick apples and have a big dinner together when we get home of white bean chicken chili and cornbread. Obviously someone will bake apple pie or cobbler.

Eileen the diagonal viewpoint allows one to enter the scene with an inviting perspective. The benches are still in fine shape and being tucked in the shade make a wonderful place for a family meal.
