Photographer’s Note
Our family set out to find a patch of highway from which to watch the fireworks on the 4th. Evidently in Northern VA you can't do that—there were police with bull horns and flashing lights making the rounds announcing to people to move on.
As we continued to drive, I saw a lovely multi-acre lawn that had a wonderful view of the fireworks show which was about to start. I pulled into the driveway and asked if we could take advantage of his hospitality. He said, by all means, but you'll have to email me some photos...
Deal.

Hi Michael Porterfield,
This is looking like a painting on canvas rather than photograph. Nice photo, good job. Congrats.
With regards.
