Photographer's Note
This is Neptune, king of the sea in Virginia Beach, Virginia. I was visiting my daughter who was having surgery and made a quick trip to the beach. The sun and sea are a respite from the cold and snow where I live.
Each year in September the Virginia Beach community holds the Neptune Festival with a parade, food, music, volleyball tournament, and the world famous sand castle contest. This is the most fantastic demonstration you'll ever see of artists sculpting sand into unbelievable creations. This year the 37th Neptune Festival is to be held September 24-26. I hope soon to post some sand castle pictures from previous years.

Hello Eileen,
This is an interesting statue, and I am glad you have shared it with us. I do think that the blue sky is a little too saturated here, so I made a workshop to try to adjust the colors. Please see it for comparison.
