Photographer's Note
Our first snow this winter. Here is another scene from my series of the New River Valley. This has been an exceptionally warm winter, we're on track for the second or third warmest winter in the 100 year meteorological history of the region, and Sunday was the first snow we've had. That's very unusual for the region. Saturday was in the 60's(15C), Sunday about 8 inches (20 cm)of snow, and today (Monday) about 50 F (10C). There's some of noise in the sky bu I don't find it objectionable at this resolution. Although the community is Snowville, it was named for a family by the name of Snow, not because we get a lot of it.
