Photographer's Note
This statue of President Thomas Jefferson stands in a rotunda at the Jefferson Hotel in Richmond Virginia. Built in the late 1800's this beautiful and opulent hotel has accommodated many prestigious guests. The glass art above Thomas is by Tiffany. The scarf he is wearing in the sculpture was added in later ( and is not correct to the time period of the late 1700's. The statue was dropped after being carried out on a mattress due to a fire, and his head fell off! The scarf was added to hide the crack. The Jefferson Hotel is a beauty!

Hi Susu - great angle here, showing us the statue of Jefferson as well as the beautiful ceiling. I wonder if you tried this shot without flash? The statue seems a bit washed out from the direct light, and might have more depth and drama if available light were used instead.
