Photographer’s Note
At the end of another long day at the tall building, I shuffle home with my briefcase laden with papers that I must scrutinize before daybreak. There are other tired folks on the street. It is dark already. That is the problem with winter. I walk slowly, measuring my steps, keeping myself apart from the other pedestrians. Indifferent cars pass us by. I walk around the construction sites, wait for the green walk sign at almost every crossing. It is warm, unseasonably so. As I shuffle on, a tall girl skirts around us in long easy strides, her t-shirt clinging to her sweaty back, and quickly vanishes in the darkness ahead. I press the shutter instinctively, the camera in my palm, my thumb on the shutter button. I don't know why I press the shutter. I am left with the vision of a gazelle gracefully bounding over inconsequential bushes in a dangerous terrain.

It is totally blurred and thats the beauty of the pic. The blending of the colours are excellant. And the girl(probably) running give a speed in the pic.

Good to see you experimenting like this - I like this one - your excellent note and the picture itself - put you in the picture beautifully - a really nice autographic expressionistic street shot! The colour sheen of the car to the right against the orange is just fantastic!
I would be real interested to know what you think of the shot I put up today Animesh - it's an old one, B&W which has mildly obsessed me for the last 20 years...........
best wishes Kev

"Classy" always comes to mind with your pictures, Animesh, and this is no exception. A little daring in that more effort is required of us, but very beautiful and involving nonetheless. Funny enough your superior note brings clarity to the scene...
Cheers,
Francis

Ay, Animesh, will I get into another "defence" tonight? ;-)
Cannot wait for Sohrab's response! Well, mine is "predictable" after last night's little ww2, as I find your aesthetic very pleasing and enjoy the elegance of this well-blurred, so to say, night urban shot...

Very interesting- unusual. I like these blury ones, though. The light streaks are quite catchy. The photo has a lot of action to it- its a very energetic shot. Good catch.

Animesh, I generally agree with what Sohrab wrote in his reply.
I have tried similar things this weekend and have to say that find the world of night colours fascinating. On thing I noticed I tend to like better when the streaks of lights aren't in the picture, I find them to be a total distraction. I find it to be the case also in this image, had you been able to catch it without the lines of light this would have been like a painting or Ackerman in colour.
Keep it up, nothing wrong with experimenting and having fun, regardless of how many poeple like or dislake it.
