Weekends in Old Town, Alexandria ...
... are for relaxing and hanging out by the waterfront that runs through the city ... for listening to live music played by the river ... and for entangling bodies with your best friend and lover.
Weekends are also for taking photos of strangers who are posing irresistibly, without letting them see your camera, especially when the colors of their clothes -- pinks, greens, and creams -- match so beautifully with the surrounding plants and walls :)

Indeed, the colors could not have ben better coordinated if an art director had set up the shot! WELL SEEN! I can only hope that Cindy and I look like this when we're traveling and watching opposite directions, maintaining close physical contact despite only seeing each other peripherally.
PS (well-intentioned gibe)... Dey gots feet! ;-)
Seriously, I considered whether a tighter crop might enhance the emotional feeling of this shot, but decided against it as I think we'd lose his right foot! Maybe you could go vertical 2:3, tight on their heads and the pot on the left, but I wouldn't change a thing here. :-)

That is real high class candid camera, what I like to do a lot myself. I do not like, when people pose, these pictures most of the time I delete right away. The best shot as also in this case is, that the photographed persons do not know what happened to them. That is for me the highest order of the street photography.
Since more then 30 years I live and work in Asia, predominantly South East Asia. I guess after such a long time, I should know a few things about the region. I think that most of my pictures speak for themselves, but I like to give some additional information to the visitors of the gallery because most have never been here and as they wrote may never will be visiting these places. Moreover there are a lot of misunderstandings about Asia which I try to clear up a bit.

Hi Kristin. You have the photographic talent, for the special moment. Today's photo is a good example. The two on the bench give like a young couple in love, - but already you can see the gray hair. The posture of the pair (and here especially women) is very intimately. I like this photo very much.

I like frame and colors.

This must be one of your best pictures so far. Everything is just perfect -light, colors, sharpness, no feet cut off :-). But most of all, of course, it's the relaxed and loving expressions of these two persons that make the photo so good. They look like teenagers who just fell in love, when in all likelihood they've been together for decades.
I would be overjoyed to take a picture like this.

a very good frame, a nice candid street photography. Like the intimate postures of this pair who has passed their youth. That means love remains. I like your this shot a lot. Good light and colours. I also like the space in your framing. Overall a nice one. Tfs.

What a Beautiful scene. In gestures of these people we can see the emotions - calm, peace and love. So I want to readit that way :)

J'aime beaucoup ce petit moment de détente et de tendresse entre ces deux touristes fatigués par une longue journée de visite. Ils sont très ensemble, même si ils regardent dans des directions différentes.

A charming photo suggesting life is good for this couple. Fortunately the BG is simple and the couple's heads are nicely placed between the two pot plants against a plain and neutrally coloured wall. Very well captured.
Kind Regards, Ann

lovely photo of the couple. I like photographing couples although I am often a bit afraid that they will notice and sometimes I hesitate. This one worked perfectly here, they don't seem to see you and they seem very relaxed.
Very well done,

what you wrote to me yesterday was very interesting. The story about my photo could be one of many but what you wrote about street photography is fascinating and really confirms your passion for this means of exploring the world and sharing your finds with others. I like very much this picture, how coordinated the couple and the colours look as well as how careful your composition is, as if you were careful not to disturb their peace in any way. It would be a beautiful scene no matter what the age of the couple was. This is not only romantic, it's also about trust and sharing and it has a sense of happy privacy that no one can disturb. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely day,

Very romantic scene, and so romantic note ;)
It reminds me the Beatles- All you need is Love.
It is really lovely combination of the colors and details. TFS!
