Photographer’s Note

Hello friends,

today I publish a not common picture.... I took it in my lab and I think it is interesting to show you, The House Mouse (Mus musculus) is one of the most numerous species of the genus Mus commonly termed a mouse. Laboratory mice belong to strains of House Mice and are some of the most important model organisms in biology and medicine; they are by far the most commonly used genetically altered laboratory mammal. Did you know that gene for gene, we are very similar to mice? Men and mice share 99% of genes. For this reason, they are a powerful tool that are helping us to win the battle against cancer, among other dozens of diseases... and don't worry.. they don't suffer, there are good protocols to avoid it.

hoy en día propongo una imagen no muy común .... La saqué en mi laboratorio, y creo que es interesante mostrarosla. El ratón doméstico (Mus musculus) es una de las especies más numerosas del género Mus que comúnmente se denomina ratón. Los ratones de laboratorio pertenecen a cepas de ratones domésticos y son alguno de los organismos modelo más importantes de la biología y la medicina, son con mucho el modelo animal más comúnmente usado en el laboratorio. ¿Sabiaís que gen por gen, somos muy similares a los ratones? Los hombres y ratones comparten el 99% de los genes. Por esta razón, son una poderosa herramienta que nos están ayudando a ganar la batalla contra el cáncer, entre otras docenas de enfermedades ... Y no os preocupéis .. que no sufren, hay estrictos protocolos para evitarlo.

You're note is very usual, and informative.
You captured the redness in the little guys's eyes!

complimenti per questo ritratto un pò inusuale, non è cosa frequente vedere un topino in faccia. Immagine e note molto interessanti con un perfetto focus sugli occhi della bestiola. Un caro abbraccio.

Yo no sabía que éramos tan parecidos a los ratones! Para mí, ellos tenían mucho más que ver con las palomas, a las que suelo llamar "ratones alados"! Hehehe! La aproximación del pequeño animal está muy buena, con excelente profundidad de campo y una interesante expresión en su rostro, como si estuviera queriendo decir "por favor, no me maten"!

Hola Sergio.
Realmente una foto sorprendente la que nos muestras hoy, el raton es un animalito muy pequeño pero no se porque, nos suele sobresaltar cuando aparece. En esta captura tan nitida se le ve hasta simpatico con sus ojillos que parecen mirarte atentamente. Me gusta la presentacion con este marco, por cierto la nota interesantisima. Gracias.

tu afirmación que estos simpáticos ratones de laboratorio no sufren me tranquiliza, y los pobres ayudan a la investigación médica. Tienen mucho mérito también ellos.
Me gusta este guiño fotográfico en un encuadre mínimo que centra nuestra atención en los ojillos rojos del bicho.
Es una foto diferente e interesante.

Bonjour Sergio.
Cette petite souris a le chic de se trouver dans un cadre noir très épais comme caché dans une boîte et son expression en devient très humaine, pas étonnant avec les 99% de gènes communs !

Realmente da pena los experimentos que se hacen con estos animalitos, pero desde luego que no hay duda de que ayudan a salvar vidas.

very interesting the proportions and POV of the pisture that captures mainly the animal's look. Is it suspicious? Also, the earing indicates what is special about it, a very nice touch.
