Photographer’s Note
Something in nature most people will never see. I hope this is not inappropriate. I was very careful not to disturb these two. I am sure we will have a few more lizards this summer. I couldn't pass up the chance to capture this moment. These two have been chasing each other around for several days now. It was interesting wathcing the "courtship".
I have reposted this pic with a little less sharpening. The bright green male is about 10 inches (25.5cm)long from head to tail. The female is about 2-4 inches (5-10cm)shorter than the male.
I reposted this based on didcreole's critque.
Thanks to all.

Good repost (the original was not bad), the sharpening is enough like this.
And thank you for the details about these lizards (big lizards).

I like both approaches to this photo, though this softer one does seem to fit the, um, mood better. Great color, and composition including the full tails so that the embrace is off center is neat. What a moment in time!

I hate reptiles, but your phot is so great that my heart my be softening a bit towards these creatures. They even look a bit tender. Great catch and thanks for the info on lizards.
