They recruit and hire deputies for long-term employment, and they have the power to recruit citizens to perform judicial duties.

Hi Barbara

A superb daily life shot & a nice piece of Americana. I took some photos of a police car in New Mexico. I was intrigued to see them up close & personal rather than on a movie. But if I see a police car back home I probably wouldnt look twice at it, let alone photograph it. Good sharpness here & vibrant colour. Tfs!

Czesc,
ustrzelilas go z tylu i dobra, jeszcze by sie czepil z przodu z pytaniem dla kogo to zdjecie. Trzeba przyznac, ze motory maja imponujace. Fajne swiatlo bylo, ostro wyszlo i kolorowo.

Hello Barbara, When I saw the title I imagined something out of a western movie, but this guy has swapped his horse for something a lot more powerful, nice sharp image that is interesting & colourful. Thanks

Czesc Barbara,
bardzo fajne. Policjanci wraz z ich mundurami i pojazdami stanowia swietny temat do zdjec i jak tylko mam okazje to probuje ich fotografowac. Tutaj swietnie udalo ci sie zlapac szeryfa na ogromnym rumaku i na ladnym kolorowym tle.

On my 8 hours stay in LA on 7/1978, I got a J-walking 5$ ticket, from such a motorcycle-mounted cup, Barbara.
just the newer version here of the bike.
Impressive and most dignified appearence of the police-officer, no wonder everyone obey the law there...
