Photographer’s Note
X marks the spot where the bullet hit. Bullets, of course. And there are two X's. All day long the cars pass over them, falling under the same potential trajectory, two lanes or three of blithe traffic, circulating between downtown and the suburbs, full of dreaming Americans speeding through the days. Only that one car, that one day, with that one man, fell victim to the X.
