Oh, the irony of seeing these guys sitting in front of Urban Outfitters, a trendy chain store often found throughout America near colleges and universities. These guys are dressed in clothes they likely got from a thrift shop ~ a style which the store's designers have copied and re-packaged to sell to affluent students at a tidy profit ;)
Unfortunately, the real irony is the amount of college and university graduates these days in America who, despite their degrees, are either unemployed or under-employed, just like these guys.
i saw & shot this from the other side of the street so the natural moment wouldn't be compromised by any awareness of the presence of me and my camera.

a very well observed street scene, the two seated characters are perfectly positioned in a very appropriate shop window.
An enthralling upload.Wish it were mine!

Hi kristin. I have to smile when I see this photo. The real focus here are the two types outside the shop window. The two have their luggage and seem to live on the street. Also interesting is the way they look in the environment. Both are thinking about the world - and the world thinks about them. Really very beautiful.

not sure that the shopkeeper is happy with this living advertissement in front of his window!

I had to laugh when the picture slowly opened from the top and finally revealed these two guys. Your note and title also amused me. Trends come and go in circles and those wanting the very latest fashions seem easily fooled. Somehow I think the owners of that store didn't want to associate themselves with the two men even though they were wearing the same kind of clothes.

Une très belle scène de la vie quotidienne au Texas. On voit bien que les deux hommes ont beaucoup de vécu et que la vie ne fut pas des plus facile. La vitrine doit être tentante pour eux. J'aime aussi les reflets dans la vitrine.

As always, your note is a perfect compliment to your picture, and I laugh at the thoughts that these gents sit there and watch people pay hundreds of dollars for clothes they may have got for free. I guess that's fashion for you though, not something I pretend to understand.
I particularly like the sunglasses, very cool!!
All the best
