At 2,370 feet (722 meters), the Walnut Street Bridge in Chattanooga, Tennessee USA boasts to be the longest pedestrian bridge in the world. It was built in 1891 and renovated just over one hundred years later. The bridge spans over the Tennessee River from the city's downtown on one side to a park and restaurant district on the other.
