Photographer’s Note

Is there anything better in the world than being a kid and playing with water? At least for me, that's one of the most enjoyable things that I can think of. Well, you don't have to be a child to enjoy water, but the younger you are the less preoccupied that you are with the silly stuff that keeps grown ups busy.

I snapped this handheld shot at dusk. What I like in this shot is that there are different stories, one child on each spotlight, one running on the FG, and parents on the BG watching and thinking about their jod, their cell phones, their mistresses, their cars, homes..... you know. And of course, on the other side of the lens a guy with a camera thinking about a photograph instead of jumping and play with the kids.

That looks like alot of fun. And definitely something that is relevant as the summer heat starts to come into effect.

You got it spot on, there are few things better than having water fights, or running through fountains as a kid.

very beautiful and spontaneous. I like the figure in foreground, which is running fast. It tells how they enjoy this moment.

I missed this shot when first posted. It's superb. As your notes suggest, there are so many elements to it, so many stories. I like the colours, and given there is so much movement in the children, very well composed. Good work.
