Photographer’s Note

This shot was taken in Nashville, TN (The home of the 'Grand Ole Opry', 'Music City, USA'). The sun was going down, that is why you will see light on in the back buildings. Back in 1996 I used film and this subject was in my sights. He was a 'horse taxi', tour guide extraordinaire; " If you want to get there, I'm your man."
What I like'd about this shot is that his Cowboy hat seem to form the letter A that completed the letters to his right: V-A-I-L-A-B-L-E. He always reminded me of a Cowboy Santa Clause so to speak. :)

Hello Michael,
I can see what you were going for with this shot, and I think you captured the feeling well. The hat is in the perfect position next to the sign, and the blurred background works well. This man has a wonderful smile, and would definitely make a good Santa! :-) Nice choice of B&W, and I like that only the seat of the carriage is visible.

Quel belle photo , j'aime l'arrière plan un peu flou. Cette photo doit être en noir et blanc comme tu as fait bravo belle imagination.

About composition : I would like to do it more tight, maybe...but is not bad at all;).

Hi Michael,
Nice picture of Downtown Nashville. I've been living in this city for the last 3 years, and this picture reflects the Nashville spirit very well. I also owned a Nikon FG for sometime, and I enjoyed the good old metal machine a lot.
