Photographer’s Note

A walk in the local park yesterday. Our local "park" is a couple of thousand acres called Shelby Farms. It really is sort of a farm, with cotton growing and long horn cattle and bison being raised and horseback riding if you wish.

The best thing is to walk around the lake and see what everyone is doing. Yesterday, a very windy day here, this man was teaching his son to fly a kite. They were doing a good job of it!

I took it because it was simple scene. Taken with a polarizing filter on a 28-100mm lens. No cropping done, but sized and contrasted a little.

nice clear shot. For me personally it would have been even better if there were no buches on the botton right side. Can you imagine it? Just the blue sky and the green gras and the father with his kid kiteing :) How better could this be. But still a quality photo. An A- from me ;)

In thumnail,I asked myself,why this high flat sky?!...but now in real size I find it another:)

it reminds me my childish time,very good time,and full of dream and beauty.
You captured it very well,fresh,excellent colors and contrast,clear and well composed the elements in a best way,in fact you played with a few elements graphically as a few strong dots in the frame,...nicely done and very well worked,Clifton!

Beatiful colours and scene. I would loved better if the father and sone were captured lager and clearer. I even didn't notice the son existed in front of his father untill I read your note. But nice photo.

Hi Clif, Beautiful landscape indeed. I liked the attractive colors of green grass on the foreground against the bluish sky on the background, the colors were very contrasting. Regards, Andrew
