Photographer’s Note
I'm kind of jumping around here all of a sudden - This one was shot at breakfast on the morning of the second day of the Beale St. Music Festival in Memphis.
We got up a little late, took the street car to the Memphis Farmer's Market and then decided to get some breakfast. Not too far from the market was this place - The Arcade - and it was on Linda's list of places to eat! Incredibly convenient... Especially since it was still drizzling rain outside.
We read that Elvis Presley used to eat here - it is a vintage diner style restaurant and it is supposed to serve excellent country ham and biscuits for breakfast as well as great pizza for lunch. You can even get a fried Elvis Sandwich (peanut butter and bananas)! However (and there's always a however in life), besides being an interesting place to check out interesting people, the breakfast was just ok and the service was awful. They put in our order and brought us plenty of coffee (we could have split a "40" and not cared so much), but after 25 minutes there was no sign of our food. We had been waiting quite some time, I didn't really want to find someplace else, but normally we would have just got up and left. The waitresses were totally confused as to what happened to our food, so re-submitted our order. Linda has a low tolerance for poor service in a restaurant, having worked as a server and a bartender for several years. We got our food after about an hour, and they first tried to give us somebody else's order... *sigh*.
So, other than a place to take some photographs of a vintage Memphis establishment with the credentials of "Elvis Ate Here", I cannot recommend this place as a "must visit". The people watching was great, though, and plenty of folks were already drinking beer at 1030 am or so when we got there, so I had high hopes for this place. Then I realized you had to occupy your time somehow while waiting to get seated, waiting for your food and waiting for the servers to get their act together. I took some photographs. This is one of them. I was looking for a clever title, something along the line of my Roller Derby Girls - Asses and Elbows shot, just to be cute, but I came up empty.
Suggestions will be considered.
It's hump day here in St. Louis. Lots of meetings today and a special wine dinner tonight, so it's probably a good thing I stopped getting notified of my favorite's uploads. Anyone else having this problem?

Hmmm... I wonder how it photo could look like if you had whistled loudly. Maybe some of them would turn their heads towards the lenses...
The backs only - it doesn't satisfied me...

Hi Reed, the thing I can't believe is that there is not one bit of ass-cleavage between them. At least with the roller girls we got plenty of that plus fishnet stockings. I like the vertical framing and the use of perspective. As to the title, how about "The House With No Cracks"??? Gawd I'm a dirtbag! Avagoodweekend, Lisa.

The shot is to me kinda reminiscent of Norman Rockwell's painting.
TFS.

Busy place and popular place for breakfast, we do love our food. The longer we have to wait to be seat the better the food. I do wonder which one is the plumber, since he is showing his cleavage. Maybe it's the smell good plumber.
