Photographer’s Note
This shot is one of my husbands favorites. He wanted me to share it with you guys so I promised him it was next!!
It was taken on the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail. Which is a 6 mile loop road that leads straight from the hustle and bustle of downtown Gatlinburg into the vast wilderness that surrounds. It is a MUST right there with Cades Cove of any visitors to The Great Smoky Mountains.
The majority of the loop is shaded with various stops along the creek and some homestead sites to take trips back in time to the 1800s. It seems as though I lost a tiny bit of detail when I resized to post here. I'm trying out new photo editing
software so I sharpened a wee bit to try and correct. Any feedback or suggestions for software is appreciated. Laura

I like this view, Laura, simply wonderful with mosses wrapping up the stones which turns into light green, full of vibrant live color.
I also uploaded similar photos and I am still attracted by such scenes of natural environment. You captured the water flow at 1/8s and it is lovely motion.
Not only you composed vertically to give good DOF here, the trees in the woods provide a soft blend into the rest of the frame. And you expose the meter well here at wide angle 8mm.
I particularly like your pov and angle of shot. Well done, Laura. TFS
cheers, bill

OK, this is my favorite of the pix you have posted...I really like the POV and the DOF on this one. I especially like the flow of the water over the rocks. Wonderful green colors...very good composure...TFS. karl
