The statuary at Brookgreen Gardens near Pawley's Island on the coast of South Carolina is beautifully offset against the dramatic backdrop of a formal garden, tended by ten horticulturalists and an army of volunteers...
This statue is hewn out of three blocks of granite from the quarry at Mount Airy, weighing twenty tons each!
I love to contrast the beautiful fine lines of the statues against the dark green backdrop of trees and Carolina blue skies... |
