Photographer’s Note

Another of the residents of Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia. I find vultures fascinating in a strange sort of way. They don't seem loud or boisterous, they just hang out with that evil look about them waiting for something to die. I loved the geometric pattern of this ones feathers. I have been trying lately to shoot at lower apertures to get more detail. When I do the subject kind of blends in with the BG. So I blurred this by hand to set the bird out in better detail. Hope you enjoy it.

Love the title of this one, the photo isn't bad, either. Very nice detail, sharpness is spot on. You did a nice job blurring the background - I always manage to screw up the edges when I do that to a photo with colors like in this one...

you've done a good job here. The feather details is so good. I too like the patterns made by the feathers.A wel balances composition, sharp, good DOf. I like the colours too.

Wonderful capture of this ominous looking creature who's impressive plumage is seen in very sharp details and true colors.
Appears with that look that he could go for some road-kill stew.
