Photographer’s Note
These are two of the Panamanian dance troupe we saw at the International Festival in Columbia. This seemed like a very flirty kind of dance. Some sort of courting ritual or something. I loved the dresses the women wore, but those small straw hats on the guys?? Ehhhh. :)) Hope you like it.

Hi Shelly
Very nice colorful shot! The dancer were well captured and we can feel the concentration in the dance in their faces. Beautiful colors and contrasts, and good POV, too. Well done, regards, Consuelo

Hi Shelly,
You did an excellent job with this dance. Your low number of critiques is very surprising, but you always take your chances with posting this type of photo on Trek Earth. Again, you timed this shot perfectly and you have the knack of timing the dance (this take good instincts and I believe that you either have this innate sense of timing and rhythm or you don't). I am sure that you love music and dance and this is 90% of the battle. I have done many Folklorico dance performances and sometimes the men have some silly looking costumes, but they are traditional fare. If I would have told them that they look like goofy sissies, they would have beaten the crap out of me (joke). You did a beautiful job here and I am again very impressed! Henk really liked this photo so that speaks volumes for this shot in my opinion. Keep up the great work!

Now that you mention it I wouldn't be caught dead in that hat :D There is just a little movement in the feet which implies motion. (Duh what else would you expect from a pair of dancers). The rest of the image is sharp and well exposed.

Hi Shelly,
This is very colourful, but also very artistic. I love the pose from both of them and although i am not such a folklore type, i like how you set this up...very nice.
Exposure and light is spot on, really good work on that part.

Hello Shelly. You have utilized your new flash very well. The image is full of softness and grace and yet so clear and contrasting well with the blue screen. Well done and thanks for sharing. Regards. Jusni

Bonjour shelly,
Une belle composition d'un charmant couple de danseurs!
Les lumineuses couleurs blanches contrastent harmonieusement avec le fond de rideaux tout bleu!
Les coiffures sont originales et contribuent à l'exotisme de la scène!
Amicalement

Hi Shelly
Great capture, very graceful postures. Motion blur on the man's foot is a nice touch.

Excellent shot Shelly. The pose of the two dancers is perfect, especially with that slight blur on the guy's foot. Real good light handling here.

Hi, Shelly -
Beautifully framed and composed. It maybe needs a touch of sharpening?
Best,

Hello Shelly -
I like this one. You have captured the interaction between the dancers which I think is important. The image is sharp and well exposed. The only that I can is that the upper portion of the backdrop is rather dark - I would suggest some selective brightening to smooth the transition from top to bottom. It almost looks like there is a grad placed on the scene. Brava, well done!
Thank you for sharing.

Hi Shelly,
Scobert step aside Shellys in town! wow great capture of these dancers caught in full stride. Excellent sense of motion as you have handled all the swirling white very well against the deep blue background.
