Photographer’s Note
This is Two Notch Road in Columbia, South Carolina. One of the busiest thoroughfares I have encountered here. There's everything on Two Notch. Shops, restaurants, liquor stores, furniture stores, you name it. And the traffic is horrendous. I am from a rather rural state with lots of country, farms, slow living and I am so homesick. But I'll be going home this month for a week and I am SO ready. I'll be glad to leave this behind for awhile.

Hello Shelly,
This really sums up small time suburban America for me. Having said that the composition is excellent with all the different signs receding backwards in a diagonal. Clarity is excellent.

Hi Shelly. I can understand your feelings, I rarely leave my little slice of rural retreat. Good photo, you have caught the clutter well. Thanks for sharing.
Have a good weekend, Paul.

Hello Shelly,
The image is brilliant, but the place, a little less… I like this composition without concession, realistic and very descriptive. It is an excellent image. Congratulations.
Have a nice day

Hello Shelly,
yuck...this placw sucks! but your pic doesn't. Good strong graphical feel with lots of impact. With all the wires and signs there is alot of communicating going on but nothing interesting being said if you see what I mean (I'm trying to be deep here:))Actually at this very moment I am visiting my son and his family in Aberdeenshire, a place that is so very different from Colombia.Today we took a reccy to find a cottage we have booked for July and found it up a dirt track. The only living creatures anywhere close were rabbits and pheasants...perfect peace.

Bev

Tous mes compliments,
Emilius

Hi, Shelly -
Not a pretty picture. But that's the point. It's taken some time to appreciate that this sort of shot is good photography, but it is.
Interesting the way the cars are lined up, too.
Best,
Dan

mais ce n'est pas non plus le genre de pays où je peux m'imaginer vivre ! mais dire que certaines personnes n'ont pas le choix...

hello Shelly
I like the Jeff Brouws, Robert Adams ' atmosphere of this composition. The constant crisscrossing of lines, wires, the patterns, the vivid colors all convey in an effective manner.

Emmanuel
