Photographer’s Note
Today is May 23rd. There has not been a day this month I can recall that hasn't been - oh, gray, overcast, cloudy, partly cloudy, showers, thunderstorms or a mixed possibility of all the above. And when I checked the forecast this morning that's what we're looking at for at least the next ten days. The best thing I can say for it is that it hasn't gotten deathly hot yet, either. This was taken in late evening as the sun was going down between the clouds and caught the back of the house. Now granted, it probably isn't QUITE this dramatic without the polarizer, but it suited my mood. Hope you enjoy it.

The contrasting light and dark make for a terrifically dramatic shot. Cool, wet spring. Ahhhh. Thanks, Judy

Hi Shelly, What a powerful & very atmospheric sky, the storm in these clouds look like they could turn the wooden houses into match-sticks, fabulous light very well managed, TFS, kind regards Wilson.

Hi Shelly, dear friend,
the atmosphere that we cannot see everyday. The light is your partner. But everything is your idea and your reaction. One of your best pictures. Proud of your work and friendship, warm regards

Hello my dear Shelly
Nice dramatic moment shoot. Very sharp contrast of white wall and mysterious sky color is magnificent. Yes we sometimes have same climate phenomena in Japan too.
Thanks for sharing and best regards,

Hello Shelly,
A very dramatic and storm threatening sky, makes for a fantastic contrast with the cream tones of the house. You have been able to manage the light very well and produced an interesting study in light and shade.

Oh, Shelly, what a fantastically clean and tidy house and garden! Your naval training perhaps, or just sandard for your part of the world? Anyway, it's avery striking depiction of the sort of light that occurs in the evening when there are storm clouds in the sky.
Warm regards from Sunny Dunny,
Winifred

Hi Shelly,
Sure hope your Memorial Day weekend has gone better for you than the last week... Wouldn't want those raindrops to put out the barbecue pit. That very thing will be happening to us tomorrow, unfortunately, but I have to get some of these photos processed!
Anyway, great capture of the threatening sky!
Have a good holiday! whoops out of two pointers...

Hi dearest Shelly
Very nice dramatic sky
I appreciate the high contrast, your camera sensor was setted on the clear house that's why the sky looks darker.
Well done.
Sincères amitiés.

Hi Shelly,
Looks like there is a late spring thunder storm brewing over Columbia.
Love this shade of blue coming through the dramatic clouds.
We have been enjoying a nice cool spring which I love because I get homicidal when the temps reach into the humid 90s.
Regards, Tom

Hi Shelly,
I agree, the gray and cloudy weather becomes boring in the long run. But you have used it anyway to take a good photo. I like the result of your pol filter, dark and heavy clouds, really dramatically ! Sharp and fine evening light also.
Have a nice evening.
Boa
