Photographer’s Note
We stopped in at the market again this past weekend, but we got there late and most of the vendors were packing up to leave. I was outside shooting pictures of seagulls and this fellow backed a truck in to load up stuff, I guess. He spoke with a European accent I am not familiar with and said, "I will give you five dollars and you can take my picture," and then smiled that big cheesy grin. What I wondered if he meant was, if I gave HIM $5.00 I could then take his picture. It didn't matter. He had a great smile whatever he meant and I smiled back. :))

Yes, I guess he's from Europe, south Europe I should say, or middle east maybe, Americans don't smile like that! (:-
Well, it's not a joke, in my job I'm used to examining the way people move and act, and there are big differences between nations...
Well, you surely are good in portrait, and I think in them you show all your love and care for human beings. Tecnique and composition are perfect. The car window makes a fine frame for this warm smile. Did he get the money? From the smile I should say he didn't really expect them.
Congratulation for your 400 posts in Te - even if I'm too late...

Hi Shelly,
That smile is worth at least $17.95 and 27.99 if he shaves.
Great capture of this toothy grin of this man who seems to enjoy life.
The sharpness and clarity here are first rate.
Regards, Tom

Une très bonne photographie.
Amitiés.

Excellent shot Shelly.
You caught him at the right moment. The cigarette is a nice addition and suits his character. The details in his face are sharp and the exposure was just right. Well done indeed.

Hi dearest Shelly
A very good decisive moment, just a fraction of second for taking the man expression.
If you want my smile it will be free:) Just one kiss from you :)
Warmest regards.

Hi Sally! It is perhaps difficult I think the portrait of somebody without it wants him. It is here a good idea you give the expression with the grin. It is a picture appreciable
Congratulation for your 400 posts in TE.

Hello Shelly,
I like the photo. You have here a good fellow, a voluntarily model, smiling with all his teeth (!), and the expression is good. I also like that little plus in that photo, namely, the cigarette in his hand.
I have only a problem with the frame. Since the truck was blue (I think?), I find the green frame not going well at all, in terms of mix of colors. They don't get along, in my opinion. There is also a few little things that could be corrected. For example, that tiny triangle at the top left corner. Yes, I know, it is a tiny little thing, yet... I see it!
Well... that being said, I still think it is a pretty good portrait.
