Photographer’s Note
Lightning on a hot summer night in August, near Tulsa, OK. Fuji Provia slide film, 100 asa.
After a long evening of unsuccesful attempts, a small storm finally paid off right before I decided to call it a night. Storm is 3 miles to my north over the small town of Catoosa, OK.

Everything comes to those who wait. In this case it was well worth it. Very dynamic shot, beautifully executed. Thank you very much for letting us see what can be achieved through sheer perseverence. Another lesson learned. Wonderful...welcome to TE Dave

This is one of the best lightning photos I've ever seen! What was the exposure time?

Amazing capture. How did the color get purple? Did you post process this photo after scanning to digital?
I like the towers in the foreground. It gives perspective.
