Photographer’s Note
Part 7 of a 13 part series on slacklining on library lawn at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
This one's not the flashiest or most dynamic of the series, but i wanted a closeup of feet on the slackline.
When slacklining, it's important to keep your feet straight on the line from heel to toe, and it is easiest to stand with only one foot on the line at a time. The reason for this is that as you bring one foot in front of the other to place it on the line, it twists your body and throws off your balance from the more naturally stable position of standing on one foot with the other leg being used to preserve balance.
And the bonus picture is another fairly gratuitous pseudo self-portrait... i wanted to try to take a picture of my feet while on the line... and the focus ended up being off, but i still found it at least somewhat interesting.

Interesting shot - the close up technique is quite effective. The focus is immediately on the feet - very sharp and clear.

A nice clean image Sam, straight to the point, with the bokeh demanding all attention be placed on the feet and the rope.

This one is very expressive and rather scary. The disembodied feet suspended in the air hint at everything from insecurity to lynching. The reassurance of the slack rope stops it from being morbid but leaves us feeling lost.Regards kevin
