[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This was taken on a very cold (29 degrees F) late October morning at Price Lake on the Blue ridge Parkway, view towards Grandfather Mountain (obscured by the trees). We had been hiking in another location during the sunrise to get some frost shots of Grandfather Mountain and discovered this driving back to the cabin. The water this cold October morning was dead still and I was able to get so many great reflecting pool type shots here. I still can’t believe how flat the water was. No ripples at all. I feel very lucky Mother Nature laid this beautiful site into our hands. This is one of my favorites from that series. I used the resize tool in Jasc Paint Shop Photo Album 5 with no other editing.

Amazing still water like a mirror, beautiful colors and reflections. Truly splendid. The darkness of the rhododendron plant in the bottom left is a tiny bit distracting, but I don't think there is a good way of cropping it out without distracting from the overall composition. Thank you for this lovely capture.

Hi David.

Very nice picture, with classic composition of the typical reflection. I like the warm tones of the trees. The exposition seems to be good. Perhaps, the sky is a bit too clear for my taste.

I've made a workshop. I hope you don't mind and you like it.

Best Regards
Víctor
