Photographers Note
The scene is Jockey's Ridge, the highest sand dunes on the Atlantic Ocean Coast of North America. A group of children and adults are seen frolicking on the crest of the dunes, their silhouettes created by the sun that has just disappeared over the horizon.
Some of the best beaches on the East Coast of the United States are found on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Beach towns with storied names like Nags Head, Duck and Timbucktu are strung along the length of the Outer Banks, in the manner of a sparkling pearl necklace. Historically, the most significant of the towns is also one of the smallest Kitty Hawk where in December of 1903 the Wright Brothers made the first heavier-than-air flight, launching an industry that took off like a rocket. Sixty-six years later, astronauts Armstrong and Aldrin, walked on the moon. (July 20, 2009 marked the 40th anniversary of Mankind achieving this astonishing landmark.)

Hi Bulent, fantastic use of the sillhouette here and so many subjects all doing very interesting things in their own right. I also like the blue/purplish hue to the sky. Great shot, TFS, Lisa.

Merhaba, Bulent -
Very nice spotting of this silhouette! The detail is such that I even see the sand one kid is kicking up.
You might consider cropping out the figure on the right edge, since it isn't complete.
Best,

Merhaba Dear Professor!

Hello Bulent,
The shadow puppets playing atop of the sand dune are an eye catching sight. Details and strong contrast in the photo are splendid. The hat, cameras, hair and actions of your subjects are clearly recognizable. It is an impressive shot and your note is excellent.

Hello Bulent,
This is a very innovative capture.
There is real movement from the silhouetted images, accentuated by the sprays of sand around their feet.
A lovely contrast between light and shadow.
Perhaps a crop of the r/h figure would give a more 'complete' impression to the shot.
Have a good day,
Bev :-)

Ciao dear Bulent,
very nice image, in which the silhoettes of these people gives us the feeling of the movement even if we don't see their faces and their expressions. Very beautiful the contrast between the pleasant light and the black part in backlight, BRAVO!!!
Ciao, have a nice time!

Hello Bülent,
A whole of silhouettes nicely photographed. I like much the dynamics of the image caused by the attitude of all these anonymous people. Very beautiful quality of the back-light and the clearness of the image is appreciable. Beautiful glance Bülent. I am allowed a WS, I hope that you will like.

Hi Bulent, A very creative beach scene well captured and presented in this novel way. The proportion above and below the sandline is good, it is the sort of photo the dark base could be trimmed even more. I like the little bit of sand which has been kicked up as it adds to the dynamism of life of this image. Also it would be highly suitable for Treklens site also. TFS. Murray.

Sevgili Bülent,
Bu nefis kareyi atlamışım ! Tek kelimeyle mükemmel.
Bana Karagöz-Hacivat perdelerini hatırlattı. Belki bilirsin, Karagöz gösterileri başlamadan evvel, biraz sonra kullanılacak bütün figürler perdenin arkasında hareketsiz olarak sıralarını beklerlermiş. Yani birkaç yüz sene öncesinin "screen saver" i !
Tebrikler
Selam ve sevgiler

Bonjour Bulent.
Les ombres chinoises ont précédé la photographie et c'est normal que cette dernière s'en souvienne. J'aime beaucoup la simplicité et la force de cette composition.

Hello Professor 'A'
Your picture reminds me of a traditional paper-cut illustration with silhouettes. Very creative from your low POV with the band of silhouetted sandbank at the bottom and the silhouettes of he frolicking group against the post-sunset sky. Very nice and different work from you!
With Warmest Regards
Angshuman

Hello Bulent -
Excellent capture! I like to argue with you about the best beaches but that is a regional perspective in the USA. Of course the best are in the west (:}) where there is surf but then again these are some of the most dangerous since the drop off is rather dramatic and close to shore. This is really good observational skills on your part to capture this post light fun and drama. On the right there is one person that is only partial and maybe should be cropped. Well seen!
Thank you for sharing.
