Hello Katie,
Welcome to Trekearth, a most addictive site in cyberspace. Seeing the dynamics of birds flapping is always compelling, especially if you can catch them as you have, in different configurations. I posted a workshop for you. The image should be rotated 4.6° counterclockwise, in order to make the sea level. Also I increased the contrast, darkened the image slightly for drama.
Having just written a book for the National Geographic called "Leonardo's Universe," I asked the photo editor to look for a image of birds in flight. Leonardo used to study the dynamics of the motion of birds' wings. This is really the type of image I had asked them to get. In any event, they have access to a myriad world class images and I'm sure the will find something.
Warm regards, and again, welcome to TE.

Hi Katie,
very nice photo with the seagulls and the ocean, also the person in the photo gives a special focus. Nice colours, the sharness could be improved though and also a note would be fine.

Hello Katie,
This is a really nice picture. It has a impressing "lightness" and I like the contrast between the birds in the air and the walking boy.
As said by others, it is only seriously tilted.
Best regards
Jelle
