Photographer’s Note
This was a picture I took On Memorial Day at The North Carolina Battleship Museum. This field of flags was called the Healing Field with 1300 American flags put up for this Memorial day. The names of about 1800 American soldiers who had died in combat in Afganistan and Iraq were printed on yellow ribbons attached to the flags. this is a Late post for a Memorial day picture which was at the end of May but I think that we should always remember the sacrifices our soldiers make serving our country.

Such a shame there are so many flags. But, that's the price of war, and what governments decide.
