Photographer’s Note

This morning I attended the Capital City Bike Fest. Aside from viewing the literally thousands of motorcycles- both on display and those driven by motorcycle enthusiasts- the T-shirt show is the highlight of the event. Over the next few postings, I’ll share the event with you.

From the event web site: “North Carolina's only two-day downtown motorcycle lifestyle event is a destination motorcycle rally centered on the Harley-Davidson lifestyle. The two-day "rally" takes place Friday September 26th and Saturday September 27th, 2008 on Fayetteville Street and at Raleigh Convention Center, downtown Raleigh, NC.” Ray Price initiated the event four years ago. Then it was called “Harley Hog Days.” Ray Price was a successful motorcycle drag racer. He now owns a large Harley-Davidson dealership in Raleigh.

Hallo Randy!
Although I do not like these machines at all I like your photo very much - mainly because of the wonderful build up! It shows the atmosphere of an event like this in an appropriate way. There are many details to detect here. All these people really seem to be fascinated by these twinkling machines.

Hi Randy,
This wonderful red Harley Davidson is really gleaming!
I wish I could make a tour on this one... although the t-shirt of this guy does not really inspires me ;-)) Nor his beard... I would like to see the other side!!
