Photographer’s Note
Here is another snap taken out of a car window near Lake Lure. This is a golf course on which still in the winter months we see the bermuda grass provide a perfect beige base to the picture, contrasted by a rather patchy cloudy sky. Photographically, there are no frills used for this picture, no tripod, no flash needed, of course. However, I was able to capture so many different textures and details in one picture: there are distant wooded hills; the little stone bridge crossing a creek in the foreground; I had to shrink this picture so much to make it "uploadable" that you cannot quite make out the red dots of the tee-box markers towards the bottom left-hand corner; you can see the three golfers wandering across the putting green; there are two little weeping willows on the shore the other side of the pond....
I chose the fountain is a nice little focal point of the picuture.
It is not a nature photograph of of totally natural subjects, considering the golf course is man made, I guess, but I liked the effect of the telegraph lines sweeping across the sky. You almost expect to see some musical notes dotted along the lines....
The promised "million dollar view" across the lake was so boring, that I thought I would submit this today for a refreshing change.
Anyone following my pictures, stay tuned for something from South Beach, Florida which will be uploaded tomorrow for some contrast to the mountain pictures submitted thus far.
