Photographer’s Note
Intersection of Getalong and Rocky River Roads, in Charlotte, NC 28213.
Getalong Road is one street over from Lost Boy Court (see yesterday's posting) and the origin of its moniker is also a mystery to me. Was it named for hostile neighbors who finally learned to live peaceably together? Or perhaps this lovely area garnered too much foot traffic for residents, prompting comments like:
"Getalong now. Quitcher dawddlin' and skeedaddle outta here."
It is the South, afterall...
