Photographer’s Note

This is the Grove Park Inn in Asheville, nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Western North Carolina. The walled pathway below the main building leads down to the underground spa which is just off to the left of this picture.

On your first glimpse, you think this is Fred and Wilma Flinstone's hotel...!

Achitecturally, I am quite happy the modern annex to the left is in the shade. The main building to the right clearly overshadows it in so many ways!

Photographically, nothing too wild. No flash, no tripod and no filter. One shot. One hotel.
