Photographer’s Note
From last year's annual National US Gingerbread House Competition at the Grove Park Inn in Asheville, North Carolina, this was one of my favourite entries in the Adult Category. The entrant was Erika Young from Green ville, South Carolina. The result is an amazing depiction of each of the Twelve days of Christmas:
Partridge in a pear tree (on the right)
Turtle doves (on a shelf to the right of the barn)
French Hens (in front of the barn)
Calling Birds... (not sure)
Gold Rings - in the middle of the twelve drummers
Geese a-laying (just behind fence with basket of eggs)
Swans-a-swimming (just behind the pear tree, you can see one)
Maid's a milking (inside the big barn with a sign)
Ladies Dancing (in the builting on the left behind the fence - trust me, all nine are there)
Lords a-leaping (in their legal offices on the right)
Pipers Piping (well there's one with his produce stand)
Drummers Drumming (you can't miss them!)
Flash fired. No filters or tripd. Resized. No pp work. One gingerbread complex.
