Photographer’s Note
Rowan Oak, home of author William Faulkner for thirty years until his death in 1962. It is an antebellum home, but records of the date it was built went up in smoke when Federal troops burned the courthouse in Oxford. Open to the public, it is just as it was when the Faulkner family lived there. It now belongs to the University of Mississippi.

Great post, Ed. I visited this place more than 15 years ago and obviously it hasn't changed. Slightly overexposed sky, but doesn't distract too much, because of the very good colours on the house itself and on those lovely trees. Light in June!-)
This most certainly is worth being shared here.
